Today I wrote a letter & sent it:
Dear Mr. Hardwick,
As if you haven’t already received many messages on the controversial topic of banned bloggers on WBEN [that being your show]. It’s been written about. It’s been commented on. It’s in the news & on internet blogs. I, myself have expressed questions of censorship on other blogs as well as my own. On the home page of WBEN, it says: “The voice of Buffalo”.
How can the same radio station be the voice of Buffalo & shut up the “voices” of Buffalo [WNY] all at the same time?
If you can answer that, then you really are smarter than enyone I have ever emailed before.
I took it upon myself to write on my own blog about what has happened because I believed in your show. Because I believed in you as an honest host; fair & open to more than your own opinions. To walk quietly into “another day, another show” is like singing Bye-bye Miss American Pie. Yesterday [reading Buffalo Pundit’s blog] was the day the music died for talk radio & WBEN. Yesterday, controlling listeners weighed over common sense… without that common sense we’re just a generation lost in space again.
We all need something to beielve in. If you know this classic song like I do, you’ll know “while the king was looking down, the jester stoled his throny crown.” Subliminal to say the least. There’s a message in there somewhere. It’s hard to get up & dance without the chance. It’s hard when fire is the devil’s only friend.
Sincerly,
Fed-Up in Buffalo
I filed this under the sadness category. No need to explain why ![]()
