January 7th, 2007 — General, WNYmedia.net
I thought of something while at work tonight:
Banning wnymedia.net bloggers from being guests on Hardline with Hardwick means Cindy Locklear would be denied as a guest the same because [in fact] she is a person who has a blog on wnymedia.net.
What to do with hypocrisy?
January 7th, 2007 — Movies, opinion post
If you haven’t seen it already [someone told me it was already on cable], wait for Tuesday to see Broken Bridges. This is more than a love story.
It’s the life & death of lost love & finding love again. It’s about going home again. It’s about a child who, before she was born devided a family. It’s the child who [without knowing] brought the family back together again.
Toby Keith was great in this movie. Lindsey Haun played the perfect role of a rebellious teen. The full cast is here.
Don’t watch this movie without a box of tissues by your side

January 7th, 2007 — Sadness, opinion post
I heard the first 5 minutes of Kevin Hardwick’s show this morning. His comments about banned bloggers centered around Buffalo Pundit, disagreeing with the station’s decision, but respecting WBEN enough to move on.
Kevin Hardwick didn’t talk about:
He ended his statement by asking listeners not to call in about the matter as if it never happened. My thought: Kevin Hardwick blew off his blogging friends to keep his gig on WBEN. It’s sad that the only “voice of Buffalo” is under ultra conservative control.
On one said you have [other] voices in Buffalo:Â
:on the other side is Wenger bitch-slapping anyone who disses Tom [boo-hoo] Bauerle.
January 7th, 2007 — about me
Tonight I got an email from a very good friend. Honestly, he could be the 2nd best friend I ever had. He sent an idea to me [he likes sending ideas to me]. The best idea I have heard in how to stick it to the big boys of controlling conservative radio in WNY.
Then it happened. I read Buffalo Geek’s first post telling his tale of the whole story.
Before reading geek’s post I thought I could be 10 feet tall & bulletproof on my own blog [prop image & to Travis Tritt for a great album title]. After reading his post is something different.
To my friend: I know I can’t lead like this. Rallying from the back of the pack, yes. I can do that. But to stand out on an idea [your idea] like what you sent… I just can’t do it. “Standing out” usually lands me into trouble. I have cried on your shoulder enough to know my limitations.
To my friend: I know how to be fed-up. I also know how hard it can be to fall. To fall from trying to figure out where my life is going to go. Being “fed-up” is what’s made me what I am today. Leading has not.
To my friend: I can dream with all I have, but I can’t lead enough to make you proud of me. I love your confidence. It’s enough for 10 of me.
