Good morning. Well, we made it through the night. The weather channel says the actual temperature outside [just after 9am] is zero. It’s about 60º inside. That’s not that bad considering we had no heat since yesterday evening. We’re still waiting to hear from the furnace fixer guy & when he’s coming over. I’ll update this as the day goes on. Stay warm & enjoy your day.

Update [1:00pm]: The whole furnace has to be replaced because it’s not worth fixing a 40 year old one. This afternoon it’s 10º outside. Inside about 58º. The heating company should be back any time now.

Update [5:30pm]: A brand new furnace will be installed tomorrow morning. We bought a new portable heater for the living room where my man & I will camp out. The children are spending the night at a relative’s. With a couple of extra blankets we’ll be just fine. Have a safe & warm night all.

Update [10:00pm]: Our little portable heater is really kicking out some heat. It’s about 67º inside. That’s more comfortable than 58.
