I commented twice on Rus Thompson’s blog after he posted a report by Tennessee Center for Policy Research:
I think the only hypocrisy is the target on Al Gore in this “researchâ€. I wonder if the Tennessee Center for Policy Research expanded its study to more than just Al Gore’s little crib. His estate isn’t like my 4 bedroom flat in the city. Of course it’s going to use more energy than the average household. I’d like to see an energy study of the Governor’s Club in Tennessee.

Rus, lets say Al Gore sells his estate for something a little more “greenerâ€. The new owners of his estate will be using the same amount of enery as the study claims the Gore family did. Using the claims of the average American households makes the “reseach†unbalanced. I think a comparison of his previous address at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. would show he’s living in an environmentally friendly house.
I see the North Buffalo Journal & Review has the same study posted.
The reason for targeting the Vice President’s energy usage is because the righties are afraid Al Gore will take another run at the White House. Yikes! Let the slander begin before any announcements are made.

We already have a President who bases foreign policy on fear mongering. We don’t need another one who uses fear-mongering to set social, domestic, and economic policies.
You can call it slander, I call it proactive action to prevent a disaster.
“proactive action to prevent a disaster”
Good one, Mike
I could care less if Gore runs for President again. Let him, it’s a free country. What I have a problem with is his complete hypocrisy in this issue. And most of the global warming fear mongers. Do as I say and not as I do. Drive around in gas guzzling suv’s and flying all over the country in jets yet tell us to conserve and to cut down on our carbon foot print.
I’ll post an article right now that will incriminate Gore.. But anyone can get articles to raise the points they want to make. It is an endless race to prove the others wrong.
I think global warming is a myth and all we are is in the middle of yet another temp cycle. And that hasn’t even been proven yet.
The report compares only Gore’s estate to the average household. The group that did the report [I heard] was ultra conservative. It explains why Gore’s estate was the only target in the report. The only hypocrisy is the group basing their report comparing the Gore Estate to the average household. I don’t know about you but I have 4 bedrooms, a livingroom, a dinning room, a kitchen, a bathroom & a basement compacted on a standard size city lot less than 30′ wide. That’s what’s “average” in Buffalo. Of course his energy would be higher than what the average would be. I heard a comment Sean Hannity said the other night [in not so many words] who said for the size of property the Gore’s own, they are less compared to others of the same size.
How’s this Rus:
Dear Mr. Vice President,
Kindly relocate your family to a trailer park so you can please the republicans & ultra conservatives of this great nation.
Sincerly,
Fed-Up in Buffalo
