Avril adds to teen peer pressure

Yesterday I saw Avril Lavigne’s new video: Girlfriend

It has a nice club beat but the content, well in my opinion, adds to the peer pressure teenage girls go through. Watching the video (about stealing another girl’s guy) promotes violence & vindictiveness one girl can play on another. Avril makes it look like it’s fun when it isn’t in real life. Impressionable girls want to be like her & an over-played music video will do that. Who’s helping teens develop the skills required to settle conflicts without violence when (female) music icons show us it’s “ok” for girls to bully another for a boy?
