Over $4 a gallon - When will the madness end?

It says on the news:

A regular gallon of gas in Western New York now averages over $4.00 a gallon. Gas prices are up 85 cents a gallon from last Memorial Day.

The story ends with a comment from an elected leader:

Scott Brown: “What do you tell the person who’s having trouble paying these prices every week?”

Congressman Brian Higgins: “Well its very, very difficult. I want to avoid raising expectations because I think the problem is going to get much worse before it gets better.”

And then I wondered, as a congressman, what is he going to do about it?

Maybe when we give our dear friends the saudis the heave ho and let them buy their weapons from France. Spend some of what we waste on our embassy there on research and get off the oil teat !!

If you elect a fool as a leader why would you expect anything else but a foolish non-answer?

Brian Higgins is one of the most kick ass politicians we have. Its also not his fault that has is over $4 per gallon. The problem is MUCH MUCH bigger than him.

Brian Higgins was quoted in the news that it’ll get worse before it gets better, as a congressman, it should be interesting what he is doing to help make it better for us sooner. Why wouldn’t I question a congressman who was quoted in media print?
