As I prepare myself to spending the next two days with my family for Christmas, I think most of those whom are without food or shelter. I wish for the warmth of children. I pray for our men & women serving over seas, I hope for joy to the elderly with no guests visiting them.

It’s Christmastime

And in our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy

Pray for the other ones

And the Christmas bells that ring there are the clanging

Well tonight thank God it’s them instead of you

Where ever you are in this world, take a few minutes to say a prayer.

Don’t let Christopher Byrd know that I’ve never been to the Broadway Market. Hard to beleive, I lived in Buffalo all my life and have never there.

If you’re like me and missed the Broadway Market Christmas Food Fair, you still have a chance to attend one of their “Savor the Flavor” events at the market on December 8 or 15.

The things we have everyday are the things we are most thankful for. My home, family, friends, my job. My community both on & offline.

As we soon sit around the table and share in some great food, prayers to those who are without and to our servicemen & women who are over seas, or just away from their families.

Where ever you are, Happy Thanksgiving.

It’s a tough choice for voters out there in Erie County. We have 2 candidates who show their good sides:

When you take all of this footage and ball it into one, it doesn’t leave much room for voters to decide. They have but 3 options: one) vote who they think is the best, two) choose the lesser of the two evils, or three) don’t vote at all.

Announcing “SantaLand”

To benefit domestic violence shelters in Western New York.

Join us for the wonderful, free, family tradition. There will be activities for the kids, holiday music, hourly toy giveaways, hayrides, refreshments, and of course SANTA. This event is being hosted by the Verizon Pioneers (a nonprofit volunteer organization of retired and active telecommunication industry employees.)

When:Saturday and Sunday
Dec. 8 and 9, 2007
Dec. 15 and 16, 2007

10am to 4 pm

At the Chestnut Ridge Park Casino in Or Orchard Park, NY

Donations of cash, department store and food store cash cards, or personal toiletries will be accepted to benefit Domestic Violence Shelters in WNY.

This evening I carved the pumpkin my son designed.

Since we’re stuck inside on this rainy 4th of July we decided to celebrate the holiday as a family by playing our “American Monopoly” game.

We also watched the Patriot on DVD.

Whatever you have planned, have a safe, fun and great Independence Day

My man told me today that it is 6 months until Christmas. Which means we’re half way to weather like this again.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

To the fathers out there. Kick your feet up and enjoy your day!

Whatever you’re doing. Where ever you are going. Have a fun & safe weekend. I hope the weather stays nice for some great barbaquing.

Take a few minutes to remember our fallen men & women who gave their life to defending our Country. Keep thoughts for our soldiers here & abroad.
